Julio and JP Crawford in the jerseys
PSA, the Mariners’ black-and-gray-on-cream alternate jerseys this year—modeled after the old Seattle Steelheads Negro Leagues team—are incredible. Among the best uniforms of any team right now IMO. Certainly superior to any team’s “City Connect” jerseys, which are all abominations before the Lord.
and i would be in the top 1% of listeners
Good news to start your Monday: thanks to the removal of the four Klamath River dams, wild Chinook have hatched for the first time in over a century in the upper reaches of the Klamath!
This river reaches the Pacific in northern California, where K- and L-Pods spend time in the winter/spring.
i really appreciate that they worked that into a legal thriller. no court room scenes, we're doing flips on the street and running around

All but three (!) of the 1,651 refugees admitted into the United States in the three most recent months we have data are white South Africans.
For comparison, in 2024, the U.S. admitted 100,060 refugees. It's an explicit white supremacist project.

They canceled his citizenship interview and he drove in the winning run to beat the US.
Eugenio Suarez is a gem.
I've been listening to the depositions and the other guy, Nate, said he was being paid 120k. I hope he finds out the guy under him was making way more and it causes a rift between them and their sus sounding company they founded.

other countries should sanction the fuck out of us. we should be treated no differently than russia
Fuck Trump. Fuck the puppeteers behind him. Fuck the GOP, especially congressional Republicans and quisling Democrats, who enabled him. Fuck the people who voted for this, and fuck the media for never reporting on him realistically.
Fuck them all, for they have truly fucked us and the world.

*new* from me:
As pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training, three front office staffers spoke to me about helping Latino baseball players and their families navigate an America ravaged by ICE raids.
They say guidance from MLB has been “minimal” so their teams are getting creative.
or the criticism that it too closely matched our current world. like where did it say it was supposed to be such a distant and even more evil version of the US? it looks a lot like today and i think that's perfect
One of the best and most important @jamellebouie.net takes yet. Watch to the end. I find his moral clarity and knowledge of history immensely helpful in moments like this.
When I think about this, or events like the destruction of the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft, the subsequent roundups of queer people, & book burnings, which went entirely unopposed - and then I see Pride flags and trans rights flags and Mexican and Palestinian flags at every protest, I feel hope.

Watch or (Rewatch) the powerful (and sadly relevant) film "Judgment at Nuremberg" (1961) - Dir. Stanley Kramer
Scene: Dr. Ernst Janning's Testimony, performed by the outstanding Burt Lancaster. ⬇️

they’ve got to arrest and prosecute this guy
there isn’t another option here
if the feds won’t let them then force that confrontation and don’t back down
this guy murdered someone in cold blood on video in the middle of the street, you have to bring him to justice
its reprehensible. its blatantly illegal, reckless to the point of outright depravity, for the government to reflexively defend every outrage committed by its personnel prior to gathering the facts. to spit in the faces of its citizens and blame the people it mows down in the streets. fucked
this sucks. i really hope they turn it around. maybe Mackenzie Scott could help out 😭
