My colouring on an idea from the twisted court of Judge Turnbull

"Smegatron" an interpretation of the ship "Red Dwarf" (of the BBC show of the same name) as a transformer. The Red Dwarf is a squat red heaxagonal ship that forms a point at one end and a large, funnel-like engine at the other. The pointed end had a series prongs extending from each side of the hexagon that extend to almost double the length of the ship. A large asteroid is lodged into the side of the ship. Smegatron himself is a large, bulky, red robot with yellow eyes, the asteroid lodged in his lower abdomen, the prongs now placed on his back. Smegatron is accompanied by the headmaster "Smeghead," a smaller robot who transforms into the head of Smegatron.

I was formatting one of the articles in the "War Stories" TF zine I'm working on and Red Dwarf was mentioned then before I knew it...this happened.

Found out that Sam Kieth has died. I utterly adored his bizarre style, this Wolverine v Cyber issue came to me in a random bag of comics and it was mindblowing. It didn't look like anything else at all and I loved that.

Strangely enough I was showing this particular colouring job to my toddler in the library this week (she was not impressed)

To say I'm a massive fan of Red Dwarf is an understatement... I was so fixated on it as a kid that school had to contact my parents and ask them to "make me watch something else".

We were here. Easily the highlight of the festival for us, the wonderful anarchic joy of @touretteshero.bsky.social & Captain Hotknives. Also saw him in beautiful freeflowing form in late 2019 on the cusp of the world changing forever. Well it's a different time now alright... rest in peace Captain.

For no real reason I spent years making a musical podcast about the evolution of different genres. I have finished, and this is the very final episode and it's about heavy metal.

There was no need for this, but I'm weirdly proud that I finished it after so long.

Audio Comedy or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Tapes

I decided to take a brief wander with a long-lost art form: the teenage satirical comedy audio cassette. Turns out I made tons of them.

I'm in office today and available to colour all of these things when you get back to your desk to an email that says "WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THESE LETTERED BUT WE NEED THEM SUBSTANDARDLY COLOURED FIRST AND WE HAVE NO IDEA WHO TO ASK"

The contemporary pain of office culture appears to be having to endure endless hours of speculation on the Traitors. I feel like I'm in Pluribus. WHATS IN THE MILK CARTONS GUYS

More than a mug, it's starting to become a bit of a statement to still be on it I'd say

Bristolians have set up a bot to mock our appalling and overpriced bus service and I'm weirdly feeling a huge amount of local pride

...but it's so reliable!

These are so much fun to do and if you want covers this magical, this medical give us a shout!
