Looks like you got the answers you needed - and a very good question.
Although places like Siloam never turn down the clothing, they often pass on women’s clothing - as someone who’s volunteered there, I know they get more women’s clothing than men’s, and more men than women using the shelter.

When simulation becomes the norm, it weakens the human capacity for discernment. As a result, our social bonds close in upon themselves, forming self-referential circuits that no longer expose us to reality. We thus come to live within bubbles, impermeable to one another. Feeling threatened by anyone who is different, we grow unaccustomed to encounter and dialogue. In this way, polarization, conflict, fear and violence spread. What is at stake is not merely the risk of error, but a transformation in our very relationship with truth.

I read this last night as I sat beside my daughter in the Halifax airport, bringing her home to Winnipeg.
She just finished her first year away at uni, & I couldn’t help but put myself in your position.
I alarmed her a bit as I started to cry, & had to share what it was about.
I literally thought just my mom said such things…glad my trauma is shared.
How about the classic comparison to the smartest kid in the class:

I’m into the idea of ‘Bowls’ for dinner, especially if they’re mostly veg.
Trying gentle variations on classic Mediterranean types, then might venture into ‘hot honey’ chicken and beyond!
It’s being older, but also the more we see and therefore have to compare things to, the harder it becomes for something to wow us, to be considered 5 ⭐️

Just a heads up to the #MaskedSinger viewers in the US who had their final show interrupted by he-who-shall-not-be-named: beware spoilers on the internet!

Tried my hand at small plates tonight, for a few friends willing to go along for the ride…
Inspired by places I’ve eaten this year - like Tabula Rasa and Nola - I made roasted carrots with pesto cream, Brussel sprouts with bacon, balsamic and Parmesan, patatas bravas, and chili chicken.
Went well!
I did not know about this kind of insidious pricing. Thank you for highlighting it!
Slept in my Pearl Jam shirt and woke up a Better Man.
This is just one shot of many #NoKings protests in the US today.
Trump wants you to believe he’s more powerful than he is - and that you have less power than you do.
Tomorrow, millions of Americans will gather to remind one another where power actually resides in this democracy: with us, the people.
Winnipeg is -12 on March 27
I feel you…sigh…
OMG - did she lose or have her AirPods stolen, but can still track them?
If so, it would seem it’s been an odd side bonus that she has this great story to follow…
Impressive!
I watched it again recently, too, as a sort of tribute to Catherine O’Hara upon her passing…Canadian comedy legend…
