I loved Phil's presentation, as someone trying to get over the paranoia. I don't think I'll ever feel okay again, but I hope that more people understand that it's extremely common, not dangerous, not a sign of filth or poverty, and--if caught early enough--easier to get rid of than roaches.

im so fucking close to rage at this point, because i have reported mice, roaches, centipedes, and now bed bugs and have been ignored EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

and they didnt even check or treat the other units for pests! so any pests there will be moving into MY unit when other tenants move out!

i am now 100% positive that the property management company is *wanting* me to fail at controlling pests in my unit, so they can force me into paying thousands to treat this and neighboring buildings.

instead, im out $400 for early pest control measures i was forced to take myself!

despite me calling five times to report a bed bug and requesting repeatedly for pest control to do some kind of preventative measure and being ignored 5 times, the inspection was for every other unit, to look at repairs. nothing else. they didnt even check for leaks.

good morning bsky the property manager is inspecting every unit today so i get to find out if im getting evicted because i didnt report pests in a timely manner (reported roaches and mice 1-2 years ago, literally nothing was done about either).

Just got a text from the property manager that *she* will be doing a "quarterly inspection and leak test"--which has never happened before in my years of living here, so I have a feeling it's her way of doing a pest inspection herself to save money. So fucking stupid.

Property management company has been dodging my calls for a week now. I have heard absolutely nothing about an inspector or exterminator coming, after reporting a bed bug in a tightly-packed apartment building with shared laundry.
