Thank you for the great discussion! Nice meeting you, Andrew!
I have some ideas. Give me a shout, Elon.
Yeah, we're talking about two different things. I'm talking about the creative process and you're talking the logical, data driven fact side of information. Two completely different things. Thanks for the comments though. Take it easy.
I slept on this and I still don't know how to respond. I think we're talking about two different things because to me it seems you just compared humans to a library card catalogue in your metaphor.
Screenshot of an Irish Times article from 2011 with the headline "University in talks with Egypt over future of ancient mummy"
Screenshot of an Irish Times article from 2003 with the headline "UCC keeping 2.3 tonnes of uranium in basement store"
The fact that UCC hid a 3000-year-old mummy under the floorboards of a lecture theatre on a campus where two and a half tonnes of uranium rods were being stored in a basement nearby and DIDN'T end up with a zombie-pharaoh apocalypse is both a mystery and endlessly disappointing
No where in this report does it say how much food the USA imports (It just says the US is a major exporter of goods). I checked how much and it was only 15% in 2023.
The USA only imported 15% of their food in 2023...
Dude, you only imported 15% of your food supply in 2023. It's okay. Also, out of the 5 major meat suppliers in Canada, the USA owns one.
Yeah... Uber is a good example against the livery companies.
Totally makes sense. However, we already have much better systems in place for that. Books, encyclopedias. And people. Many actors and writers have shadowed many people or interviewed many people about their lives for particular scripts or roles. That's how you get the authenticity.
If I'm reading this correctly, you're talking about research?
Okay, Bluesky is cool.
Regardless of any law, most chips are on store shelves and are right there for the taking.
Well, they better make sure their baseline code is right. Google: Ai Strawberry. The way the code is written and breaks down the information has a fundamental flaw resulting in errors. I wonder what *hasn't* been caught.
Yeah... I just talked to a WGA friend and he let me know that the strike-ending agreement between the WGA and the AMPTP specifically allows the use of AI. What the heck, man!?
Aw shucks, thank you!
Feel better!
Yes, it's really affected a lot of my colleagues and destroyed a lot of their industry and income. Ai art can't be copyrighted in the US from what I understand. Didn't the WGA strike cover all this for scripts?
Legitimate question with no spite or sarcasm: What was your reaction when you learned this happened to artists and their artwork?
(big fan, just found you on social media)
