We need EVERYONE to join together to speak up, to take action. There needs to be no "These people". We can rail against Trump, laws, various actions but we need to be specific and leave "these people" alone.

I am ok because I am a fortunate white person. However I and many other white people are fighting like hell to reverse this decline. Yes, what we had was grossly unfair, suppressive, unequal, ...but now it is getting markedly worse!!! We must stop the slide.
Is it "now white folk are getting some of their own medicine. Let them stew in it"? As we dismantle the institutions and further suppress black vote in so many ways, why don't black people show up in large numbers at protests?
I thought, & perhaps I'm wrong, that over generations we were at least headed in the right direction. But now as I protest, some of the most egregiously effected people besides immigrants of color, are not showing up? Why is it that?
I am, I think one of your group of "These people", white, 70+, grew up in Oakland, took part in Civil Rights marches, firmly believe in policies that are considered "woke". Yes, you are right we HAVE always been this way.
