caution gates in front of the only direct surface-to-platform elevator at capitol hill station. it’s been broken for over a month
i’ve forgotten what it was like for cairo hill station to have a functioning elevator

sounds terrifying and maybe a tiny bit fun. the kind of ‘fun’ you tell stories about
i remember this section of trail being SO hard and i don’t really ever want to do it again (except maybe i’d go down it eastbound) but this thread also makes me really miss bike touring in eastern washington
wall art inside a train, depicting the various skylines of the northeast corridor from norfolk to new haven. the washington monument and empire state building are particularly prominent
amtrak equipment shortage is fun cause you get northeast-corridor branded cafe cars on cascades trains
everything is too far away, might end up in oz!
pdx airport carpet
portland i am inside of you

bruce harrell has escaped to california’s fifth largest city 😮
my geoguesser brain says this is looking south from in front of colman pool at lincoln park… handily an always car free park lol
wow we are so back
good gracious this is a silly map. i long for the destruction of golf
i think this is fair if we’re going to have two stations where half the walkshed is freeway and golf course
eminent domain this shit and let the social housing developer cook!
my guess is supply chain issues (i believe SDOT sources some bike lane barriers from a manufacturer in BC) but if that’s the case then construction shouldn’t have started until materials were ready for install
a dead end street with no sidewalks between tall trees. in the background is jackson park golf course
truly what are we doing folks? this is a block from the station!
escalators under construction
under construction station, with train and construction equipment visible
but it’s cool that you can basically be inside a sound transit construction zone
pinehurst station as viewed from ne 131st pl between single level, single family homes
wow i love Land Use Planning
@seattledot.bsky.social i’m very excited for this much needed protected bicycle facility but this level of (dis) construction is unacceptable
a bike lane construction zone with a big 2inch deep hole of graded pavement on half of it, the lane line, and part of the car travel lane
absolutely insane that NE 125th has looked like this for months
but truly i do not know 🤷
my understanding has been that they do this because these long routes are serving different groups of riders (ie not many people riding the full 5/21 from shoreline to burien, but lots of people using the route to get in and out of downtown in both directions)
all of those routes change number going in/out of downtown, but there’s also several route pairs that change number going through the u district: 65/67, 45/75, 43/44!
mama there’s an unpopular policy decision behind you
now THAT’S mariners baseball lmao
wow i can’t wait for starbucks to close the first starbucks 😭
what the fuck
i’m confused why balducci or mosqueda wouldn’t vote for this. is it that they don’t want transit funding tied to road funding?
gang we’re gonna need four-car 2 line trains
damn right we do! i’m so excited for hannah’s candidacy
oh this is so fascinating! thank you
