In case you need to be reminded--the Gopher gymnastics team is in the first Final Four in program history! The #13 seeded Gophers will try and play Cinderella one last time against #1 Oklahoma #2 Florida and #3 Georgia this afternoon at 3 PM on ABC.

The Big Ten announced they are adding a new Big Ten Volleyball Conference Tournament beginning this November in Fishers, Indiana. The top 15 teams in the conference standings will qualify.
The Big Ten will drop the regular season schedule from 20 matches to a true 17-game round robin slate.

The Minnesota Lynx announced they have given a training camp invite to former Gopher star Amaya Battle. While players rarely make the team via this time of deal, it's not impossible and the Lynx still have a few roster holes to fill before the season begins.
There have been no official announcement yet, but sources have indicated the Gophers have added 4 players allready including:

The men's hockey portal is open and heating up. 223 players and counting in the portal in the first 8 hours. Seven former Gophers OFFICIALLY in the portal including:
Nathan Airey, Finn McLaughlin, Max Rud, August Falloon, Leo Gruba, Jimmy Clark and Erik Pahlsson. A few others still expected.
With the men's hockey portal officially opening up on Monday, it sounds like it's expected that several Hophers will jump in at some point this weekend.
The good news is Dinkytown Athletes officially announced this afternoon that Brody Ziemer and LJ Mooney will be back next season for Minnesota.

Minnesota will also add a Director of Goaltending Development in the future.
Each NCAA team can have 4 active coaches on ice for practice and off campus recruiting. For MN that is Larson, Gordon, Laylin and Martin.
The U has officially announced new hockey coach Brett Larson's staff. Ben Gordon stays in as an assistant and will be joined by St. Thomas assistant and former Gopher Cory Laylin and former Gopher star Paul Martin in a full-time role.
Matt Cullen will join as the Director of Player Development.
Minnesota will take on #1 Oklahoma, #5 UCLA, and #9 Arkansas in one NCAA Semifinal in Fort Worth on Thursday April 16. Top 2 advance to the NCAA Finals Saturday April 18th.

Gophers will need to upset at least two of the three teams ranked ahead of them to make it to the NCAA semifinals in Fort Worth in 2 weeks.

Dinkytown Athletes announced their WBB list of returners today and with the exception of Nia Holloway who entered the portal earlier this week, every other eligible returner for the Gophers Sweet Sixteen roster will be back in 2026-27.
The Gophers will have three open roster spots to hit the portal.

The Gopher men's hockey team also had their first portal entrant today as goalie Nathan Airey entered as a grad transfer and will have a year of edibility elsewhere.

Minnesota had their first player state their were going to head to the portal earlier today as Nia Holloway will look to play her final season of eligibility elsewhere.
Minnesota currently has room for three transfers as of this moment.
This year's Gopher Women's Basketball season ended on Friday night with a loss to UCLA in the Sweet 16. But the future is bright for the maroon and gold with three returning starters, a highly touted freshman class, and a lot to offer for players looking for a great landing spot in the portal.
