This is a seriously exciting development. On top of getting our first Utah State Senator, this merger positions the Forward Party as THE driving force in centrist politics in Utah!
What's your ideal political party? What's it stand for? How is it organized? Who is in it? How are decisions made, nominees selected?
Is your party identification based on your politics or is your politics based on your party identification?
There are people who want to simplify the world. To reduce everything. To make it all 2D or 1D. To flatten us. To make every person, every idea, fit into neat categories. That isn't the world we have, that's not the world we want.

The Ohio Forward Party announced the start of its petition drive to secure ballot access for the 2026 election cycle. This news comes in response to the defeat of Issue 1, a measure that would have created a new redistricting commission.

Negative politics can trickle down and discourage us, beat us down, convince us to give up. But in that same way, positive politics can lift us up, show us that great things are possible, and it can inspire us to do good and be better.
Time for a politics that inspires.

There is no room for alternative facts or alternative reality.
What we have right now is government by sound bite or government by tweet (you decide which is worse). Our problems deserve a little more depth than that.
