It's just...an ecosystem shifting. That's normal. The PS4 was...perfect. Time for something new.

Sony just...is going through a bit of a shift, I think. If you look, the PS5 was really just...them trying a lot of new stuff that didn't work out, while also trying a lot of back-to-basics stuff that DID, and also just...the usual cinematographic-experience thing they were doing on the PS3/PS4?

I mean, I can see both reads. The thing is, Sony uses a similar model to Nintendo, they're just...a lot more public about it. Nintendo delegates a lot of their projects to 'second-party' studios, and we only really these days find out who ACTUALLY made what after the fact.
