Now, a dreamy cover of a song that's been covered to death and back, for your 4/20 enjoyment!
This was #17 in a listicle of best covers of "Fade Into You" which is a very humble brag but unfortunately I can't find it now

I find them useful for inspiration, like Aabriya especially does rules stuff I wouldn’t have thought of, and there are a few APs I’ve really enjoyed, but it’s pretty rare I can sit through an entire episode.
When I was a teenager I HATED Led Zeppelin and firmly considered it Old People Music, and that came out 20 years earlier (I’ve come around, except for Stairway To Heaven, which still sucks).
Now they’d be from 2004, and still 20 years newer than Madonna’s first hits!
LA by Night and City Council of Darkness show a nice continuum where most VtM home games are going to fit somewhere in between and it’s honestly handy to have that reference.
For those who missed it: this was the moment The Strokes ensured they’ll never be invited back to Coachella again! I'm so proud of them
I’m not a big time Hollywood executive, but it seems like The Week When You Show Trailers And Build Hype For Your Upcoming Movies is a bad time to also do The Week When You Fire Everyone Who Made Those Movies.

Herman Melville: it's not about a whale

The page for Monday, April 20, 2026 from my page a day calendar. The phrase of the day is “Goof Butts”, which is explained on the side- “marijuana aficionados had many names for joints in the 1930s and beyond- goof butts among them”
Even my word of the day calendar is 420 friendly lol

Happy Weed Day to all who celebrate
It looks promising!
Awesome!
Big shoes to fill! I’ve said before that the 2020 Night City book is most useful and playable setting book I’ve ever read. I could open it to any random page and use it for a night’s game.
Funny Games, the central thesis of which was “movies like this are bad and if you like them you are a bad person”
Fuck that movie
I had a similar reaction to the last Saturday Night Live. I couldn’t pay any attention to the song or performance because I spent the whole time going “are those Spanx?”

What’s your most rewatched movie?
I imagine for most of us it’s something we imprinted on as kids.
On this Tim Curry Day, it occurs to me that Clue might be my most rewatched movie.
We had it on VHS when I was a kid and I watched it roughly 8 million times.
the new season's crypt-crawling fashions are fun and flirty like every other season. I mean one day maybe we'll go for protection or something but that seems neither fun nor flirty.

I think you could probably make a Best Version by taking like 10 minutes from the Director’s Cut and adding it to the Theatrical Cut, but as it is both versions kind of don’t work and it’s kind of fascinating.
But the Director’s Cut is also the Slowest Movie Ever, it just drags on forever with absolutely no forward momentum.
I also vastly prefer the synthy Tangerine Dream score from the theatrical cut to the original orchestral score.
I used to have the dvd set with the Theatrical cut and the extended Director’s Cut and it’s fascinating.
There are a lot of jarring scenes in the theatrical cut where you go “wait what? Did they just skip a bunch?” and it turns out yes there’s like 5 minutes there.
