Tijdens het Cross-Border Health Meet Up in Groningen verwelkomde het CBI opnieuw vele projecten met dezelfde doel, de Duits-Nederlandse gezondheidszorg te versterken. Ook BRIDGE was vertegenwoordigd om het project te presenteren en daarmee de samenwerking tussen beide landen verder te bevorderen.
Das CBI begrüßte beim diesjährigen Cross-Border Health Meet Up in Groningen zahlreiche Projekte mit dem Ziel, die deutsch-niederländische Gesundheitsversorgung zu stärken. Auch BRIDGE war vertreten, um das Projekt und somit die Zusammenarbeit beider Länder weiter voranzubringen.
At this year’s Cross-Border Health Meet Up in Groningen, the CBI once again welcomed many projects sharing the goal to strengthen German-Dutch healthcare provision. BRIDGE joined to further foster the project and the collaboration between both countries.
Afgelopen donderdag kwamen Acute Zorg Euregio en de universiteiten Twente en Münster samen om het BRIDGE-project vooruit te helpen en de Co-Creation Workshops voor nieuwe ideeën in de gezondheidszorg te plannen die eind dit jaar starten. We blijven bruggen bouwen tussen onderzoek en praktijk!
Letzten Donnerstag trafen sich Acute Zorg Euregio sowie die Universitäten Twente und Münster um das BRIDGE-Projekt voranzubringen. Dabei wurden die Co-Creation Workshops zum Jahresende für neue Ideen im Gesundheitswesen geplant. Wir freuen uns, weiter Brücken zwischen Forschung und Praxis zu bauen!
Last Thursday, Acute Zorg Euregio, the Universities of Twente and Münster met to push the BRIDGE project forward by planning the Co-Creation Workshops starting at the end of this year to spark new ideas for healthcare.
We are excited to continue building bridges between research and practice!
Figure 1.7 illustrates the extent to which countries that spend more on health have better health outcomes. There is a clear positive association between health spending per capita and life expectancy at birth (Figure 1.7). Among the 38 OECD countries, 18 spend more and have higher life expectancy than the OECD average (top right quadrant). A further 11 countries spend less and have lower life expectancy than the OECD average (bottom left quadrant). Of particular interest are countries that deviate from this basic relationship. Eight countries spend less than the OECD average but achieve higher life expectancy overall (top left quadrant). This may indicate relatively good value for money of health systems, notwithstanding the fact that many other factors also have an impact on health outcomes. These eight countries are Korea, Spain, Italy, Israel, Portugal, Chile, Costa Rica and Slovenia. The only country in the bottom right quadrant is the United States, with much higher spending than all other OECD countries but lower life expectancy than the OECD average.

Diesen Monat traf sich BRIDGE in Münster, um die Entwicklungen des Projekts zu besprechen. Es war ein produktiver Tag und ein Vergnügen, persönlich mit Kollegen von Acute Zorg Euregio, Universität Twente, NovioQ, Universität Münster und Universitätsklinikum Münster zusammenzuarbeiten.
