Part of my bday gift to J is putting his books in order on the 10 bookcases he has in his bedroom. (Yes. 10.). Which means pulling off books at least off the first row of each shelf on each case to see what's on each shelf (most shelves are double stacked. This took 3 solid hours. 2 down, 8 to go.😮💨

Trivial good thing of the day: I bought a pair of "high rise utility supersoft jeans" (cut is like a wider legged barrel jean) in "vanilla pudding" (a lovely pastel-y yellow) on clearance ($19.50) from Gap Outlet on a whim; I may never wear a differenf pair of pants ever again. #gap #gapjeans

The lead,Karan Brae, played the Indian friend in the original Diary Of A Wimpy Kid movie and, well, I'm old. Also he was fantastic.

I found two Tom Adams cover art Christies I've been trying to replace (mine had broken spines tho' the cover was fine) in great condition plus one I've been trying to find forever(it has a marked spine & bent back cover but it's so hard to find in the wild and the front cover with the art is fine.)
The bookseller most impressed w/ our haul from their store (they all were, but this one was the most vocal) was the co-owner of Bodies In The Bookstore in Cambridge. Which yes, is an all "Crimes" (i.e. Mystery for US folk) bookstore w/ both new & secondhand books. J was, of course, in his element.
I'll say this, we scored multiple free canvas bags (the good kinds, like Daunt's big thick ones for example) from every single place. Our loyalty cards at all the places who had them also racked up a tidy amount to spend next time (just like the did last trip for this one!) #bookcollector #booklover
Baggage handler at EWR who helped pull our suticases from behind the others lumped in front lf them:" What do you have in here, bricks?!!"
