No one should have to suffer the indignity & injustice of neglect. Direct government funding in public housing and robust, wrap around, homeless support services stops people falling through the cracks.

PwC partner income has risen to $814,000 thanks to AI but team sizes are shrinking in relation. Throwing workers under the bus to grow CEO pay can't be the future of AI in workplaces. Productivity gains must be shared & worker's rights must be protected.

PMs big nothing tonight was worst April Fools on Australia in ages. He should do something real: back the Greens Work from Home bill so that workers have some backup when their boss says no. (2 days/wk minimum. Where it’s practical). Even Labor Premiers agree - & most Australians.
We know tax breaks for wealthy property investors are a key driver of the housing crisis & intergenerational inequality. Labor has an opportunity to fix the housing crisis - but if they keep dodging real reform, they’ll lock a whole generation out of owning a home.
Australia’s housing system is a generational lottery, where young people are faced with a lifetime of renting, precarious leases, and a housing market rigged against them. Housing should not be an intergenerational tug-of-war.
Australia’s housing crisis cannot be solved unless we tackle intergenerational inequality. We need solutions to get young people, first home buyers and renters access to affordable and secure housing. That’s why we have secured a Senate inquiry into this.
New data shows house prices rising with the CGT discount & negative gearing to blame, on top of a recent teetering interest rate increase. How much more do households have to endure before Labor acts?
For too long 18-20 year olds have been doing the same work as their 21 year old colleagues but for less pay. Workers’ pay should reflect their skills, not their age. We need to continue to raise the wages of under-18s who do the same work for less pay.
A huge win for young workers! Unfair junior rates for 18-20 year olds have been scrapped by the Fair Work Commission - a decision the Greens have long campaigned for. Real wages of workers have gone backwards as inflation has soared, leaving our young workers behind.
The past 3 years of inquiries have shown profiteering, land & expand tactics & poor value for money are rife within the sector. We need transparency about the use of consultants, contract details, outcome accountability & clear criteria as to why this work is not being completed by internal staff.
As our universities are being hollowed out, jobs and courses slashed and the quality of teaching plummeting, they can somehow find the funds for costly consultants and million-dollar salaries for Vice Chancellors.
ABC investigation reveals universities spent $1.8 billion on private consultants in 1 year. Australia’s universities are becoming increasingly corporatised by the corrosive influence of consultants. Corporate executives and consultants are running our universities like banks.
A Trump whim - costing so many lives, a million Lebanese their homes & the prospect of massive global recession. Meanwhile weapons & fossil fuel profiteers reap billions. And this is the ally we are sending billions to - for mythical subs??! Madness

War has big winners. And here they are. Along with massive share boosts for arms suppliers. Meanwhile farmers’ fuel bills are more than double, workers’ cost of getting to work are through the roof, housing costs will rise with interest rates & rent.
Our essential workers deserve their fair share. Labor must back in unions' and workers' calls for pay increases and improved working conditions.
Labor needs to wake up. Essential workers are reaching breaking point. Working Australians have had enough. They’re fed up with seeing the 1% & big corporations profit while wages lag, interest rates rise & the cost of housing, fuel, groceries and healthcare surge out of control.
Just 3 months into 2026 & already teachers, journalists, nurses, early childhood educators & maritime workers are taking significant industrial action across Aus. Labor, which claims to be the party of workers, must prioritise wage justice for workers who are being left behind.
Using outsource workers in ATO office's has created a 2 class system in the public sector. Again ATO has outsourced core work & subjected those workers to worse pay & conditions. The ATO should be a model example of finance not the cautionary tale.

The certainties of war unfolding before us: armaments company super-profits ⬆️ , inflation ⬆️, interest rates ⬆️ to push demand ⬇️ & unemploymt ⬆️. Ordinary people pay the price - in mortgages, job loss, fuel - & with lives where the bombs drop.
Raising rates will not resolve the wartime economic crisis, and only worsen economic hardship for millions of Australians. Labor must stop the rate rise to ensure mortgage holders and renters don’t pay the price for government incompetence.
Labor's choice to support Trump & Netanyahu's war has triggered a rate rise that will inflict massive pain for people across Australia. The Greens are calling for the Treasurer to step in and use his power to override the decision by the RBA board, to change interest rates.
Thankyou @4corners tonight. Toxic algae. A government too slow, minimising risk. Delaying release of critical information. A fail by the Malinauskas government. Thanks to the locals, the scientists, the surfers for monitoring, reporting, questioning and going on the public record.
Australia's housing system is rigged for the wealthy; it’s designed to drive up the cost of housing & rents, generating enormous wealth for the 1%. Labor needs ambitious tax reform that puts home buyers & renters 1st. It must do away with tax breaks for those who need it least.
Handing out $53 billion in tax breaks for wealthy property investors that could've helped fix the housing crisis, shows just how little Labor cares about first-home buyers & renters. FHB's don’t stand a chance because the government has allowed investor lending to run rampant.
Labor has wasted $53 billion on tax concessions for wealthy property investors since 2022. A further $190 billion will be wasted if Labor fails to wind back the capital gains tax discount & negative gearing. This foregone revenue should have built public & affordable housing.
Our housing system is rigged to make the rich richer - multi property investors, banks and developers do well while renters and first-home buyers are left in the dust. South Australians deserve better. Housing is a human right. Everyone deserves the right to affordable housing.
Malinauskas talks a big game on housing but in reality he’s dropped the ball. SA house prices & rent are among the fastest growing in the nation, FHBs are in despair, Labor has neglected public housing & let homelessness services collapse through underfunding.
We are well & truly in a housing crisis. Over 5 years SA's public housing has shrunk, not enough new homes being built, ~14,000 left in limbo on public housing waiting lists & homelessness levels at their worst in living memory. All without a publicly funded homelessness body.
Adelaide dwelling prices have risen by 40% while median house rentals have increased by 33% under SA Labor!
South Australians are seeing house prices explode, rents skyrocket & vacancy rates at an all-time low & yet the Malinauskas govt are only making it worse.
Robodebt flourished because of a political & media culture that stigmatises income support recipients. It was a failure in public sector leadership & culture in key departments. Labor must implement all 57 recommendations of the Robodebt RC to ensure Robodebt never happens again.
