It's better than what preceded it, but it's not the finite pinnacle of social evolution. Democracy begets populists and corruption. Direct democracy is better, but it's all just Greek for mob rule, mathematically speaking. I'd rather not be ruled than partake in consenting to be ruled by a contest.

Au contraire. Democracy is the shitshow that got us to where we are in the world today. The rights of individuals should be sacrosanct, beyond the results of a contest. Gang rape is democratic.
