Taking advantage of my enforced staycation/recuperation by watching Orson Wells version of The Trial. The cinematography is making it for me.

I think they sent it to be tested. I know that some of this might be related to me stopping running over Christmas. I drank a lot of water during then day when I ran regularly. Since December I cut back and I’ve had so many stones since then. Might be a coincidence but it tracks.
Every single PD I’ve had this year has AI as the main item. I’m a media coordinator and am expected to be the go to person to incorporate it into everything. I refuse.
It was only a matter time before this started happening. Le sigh
Extraordinarily brilliant person? Ok Donny. Ok.
Healthcare in America is a travesty. I just got out of a 15 minute procedure to remove a kidney stone. I do have good insurance but am still potentially on the hook for $6k. The total is around $13k to remove a fucking kidney stone.
Haha me too. Looks like it’s the claw machine for me this morning. That is what my urologist is calling the procedure. 🤣
This looks like a good one!
I’m just a boy waiting to pass a kidney stone the night before I’m scheduled to have it removed. I’m not religious but please pray for me because I’m going to go in and get it myself if it doesn’t pass soon so I can save myself the cost of the surgery.
Storm the castle!
Take note of the professional labeling!
Had a kidney stone attack on Thursday. Got a CT and my urologist was like”holy shit, that’s a big one” (his words). Thursday night the pain disappeared so the consensus is this thing is just hanging out in my bladder living its best life. If you hear me scream, things have changed.
I’ve had the same editor since 1967. Many times he has said to me over the years or asked me, Why would you use a semicolon instead of a colon? And many times over the years I have said to him things like: I will never speak to you again. Forever. Goodbye. That is it. Thank you very much. And I leave. Then I read the piece and I think of his suggestions. I send him a telegram that says, OK, so you’re right. So what? Don’t ever mention this to me again. If you do, I will never speak to you again
Maya Angelou on the joys of being edited
Just started reading “ No Friend to This House” by @nataliehaynes.bsky.social and am I sorry I didn’t pick this up sooner. So, so good.
I am on the job market. After a year in public schools I am being forced out of my district. So if anyone has a librarian or training specialist role out there, let me know.
This is amazing. It sounds brand new.
I’ve been into Mokoomba for years. They are so underrated. This song is a banger.

My neighborhood of old brick ranch houses backs up to the country club and there is a literal dividing line between two houses.
Wow
Been thinking about buying the Foxfire books in case the world ends and I need to learn blacksmithing or **checks notes** snake lore.
That sucks. I’m sorry. Congrats on the award!
I’m completely ignored by coworkers on a daily basis. I’m immune to it by now.
Who knows. I’m done with this district in June so I’m probably going to blow off the meeting
And people wonder why public school teachers burn out. I’ve only been at a public school for 8 months and I’m cooked.
I found out that I am required to use personal leave in order to travel to the district HR department. As a first year employee I do not have any personal time. So for me to meet with HR about a school issue I have to have pay deducted to cover my time away from work. The system is broken.
Every day this year. A total lack of leadership has made my job untenable and miserable.
I only knew her through the song by Cornershop. I’ve been listening to some of her stuff today and wow!
All of my neighbors love to use the leaf blowers daily. Usually at night which makes no sense.
