Depicted is the acknowledgement page to Winsor McCay's Little Nemo in Slumberland: So Many Splendid Sundays edited by Peter Maresca, published by Sunday Press. Jim Vadeboncoeur Jr. (my late uncle) is the first name in a list of people who contributed to the publication in some capacity.
As for the books John dropped off, the collection consists of numerous publications my late Uncle Jim contributed to. Despite having lived with Jim for a few months when I helped him in 2017 divest much of his collection, there were several titles I was unware he lent a hand with.
Here's an example:
Depicted is one of many index card cabinets used to store Jim Vadeboncoeur Jr.'s collection Who's Who data cards for Atlas and Timely comics. The cards are a compilation of decades of research and accrued knowledge.
On Tuesday, publisher John Fleskes, who was a dear friend of my late Uncle Jim, stopped by to drop off a collection of books Jim contributed to, as well as Jim's Who's Who: Atlas Publishers & Timely data cards, which collect detailed contributor information about these Golden Age era publications.
Depicted is a screen grab of Lot #60, which consists of six Tribbles used in an episode of Short Treks (presumably The Trouble With Edward episode, though the lot only specifies "Short Treks").
Props from #StarTrek Discovery: seasons 1 - 5, as well as props from the Short Treks series are up for auction @ propstoreauction.com/auctions/cat.... I find it amusing that multiple lots being offered consist of several Tribbles (screen grab shown). Ordering multiple Tribbles… what could go wrong?
And last, but not least, Hoopla Digital (U.S.) also grants patrons access to numerous #DoctorWho digital #comics.
As is the case with all of these Hoopla links, content may vary by location, and not all libraries and universities have partnered with Hoopla.

Not only does Hoopla Digital (U.S.) have video content, it also offers a wide selection of older Big Finish audio adventures, including Doctor Who stories.

Additionally, Hoopla Digital (U.S.) now grants access to modern era Doctor Who content - specifically, Doctor eras Nine through Thirteen. Hoopla is a streaming service offered by many, though not all, universities & public libraries.

After removing classic #DoctorWho content earlier this year, ad-supported TubiTV (U.S.) has stealthily reinstated access to most classic era content. An Unearthly Child is involved in a legal dispute with writer Anthony Coburn's son, hence the reason for its omission.

Depicted is my 2 disc 2005 DVD box set of Rock & Rule. It comes with two versions of the film and a 12 page fps (Frames Per Second): the magazine of animation interview excerpt, complete with preliminary sketches.
Yowza!
I just looked up Rock & Rule DVD on Amazon. Apparently, the 2005 Unearthed Films 2 disc collectors set (i.e. the version I own) has been known to fetch a pretty penny. It comes with both the American cut & the original Canadian version (w/ an alternate Omar dub & a slightly longer run time).

U.S. residents can watch the two recently recovered Doctor Who episodes from The Daleks' Master Plan serial on the official Doctor Who classic YouTube channel (note: this is an official BBC YouTube channel and as such the content is normally accessible ONLY in the U.S.

I only felt a short jolt, but considering it was the noise from a falling book that woke me up at 1:41am, I clearly slept through what precipitated the noise. According to several of my night owl friends' Facebook posts, the duration of the shaking motion was relatively lengthy.
I had just nodded only to be awoken by the sound of a book falling in the attic above me. Apparently, the culprit was a preliminary magnitude 5.0 quake (magnitude subject to revision as more data is analyzed).

Depicted is a screen grab from Artemis II's camera footage. It's very reminiscent of the b&w graphics used in the original Doctor Who intro.
I'm watching the #ArtemisII launch on NASA's YouTube channel. I'm a tad disappointed that the Hartnell era #DoctorWho theme wasn't playing during this camera view.
Disclosure: I sold my run of The Maxx a few years ago. I don't remember whether or not my I BEFORE E
STORIES WITH ART BY KIETH issue no. 2 (stock image shown) was included with that sale or not. If I do still have the issue, it's not readily accessible. I've never owned issue no. 1.
Depicted is "I BEFORE E STORIES WITH ART BY KIETH #2 (Fantagraphics Books, 1992). Note a second printing was produced in 1994. This later printing is easily distinguishable by the addition of the cover text: INSIDE: THE VERY FIRST "MAXX" STORY.

no. 2 (1992)
Despite the informative title, people routinely still misspell his name.
Note: a 2nd printing of no. 2 was released in 1994 which is distinguishable by the addition of the cover text: INSIDE: THE VERY FIRST "MAXX" STORY!

⚾ The S.F. Giants season/home opener kicks off tonight (5pm Pacific Time) when they take on the N.Y. Yankees. It's the only MLB game scheduled for today, and for the first time the game is being broadcast live globally on Netflix.

My #Motorola phone finally decided to get #Android 16 (a.k.a. Baklava), which I'm installing right now. Guess it figured with Android 17 (a.k.a. Cinnamon Bun) due out in June (which my device is also supposedly eligible for), it was time to jump on the confectionery OS bandwagon. 📱📲

Depicted are the covers to issues one and two of the 1991-1992 Fantagraphics Books comic series "I Before E: Stories With Art By Kieth", which spotlight some of Sam Kieth's early works, including the very first Maxx story.
R.I.P., #SamKieth.
I've seen numerous posts that transpose the letters "i" and "e" when spelling the name "Kieth". So for the benefit of those individuals, here are a couple comics to add to your comics want lists:

Very very sorry to hear about Nicky Brendan. Dawn and Xander both gone?! Doesn’t seem possible.
I finally checked Barbarella off my to-watch bucket list in 2024. I'm using your first ever viewing as an excuse to re-post a mashup I made in 2025. The mashup was created entirely via traditional Photoshop (i.e. it's NOT AI).

Long before I had access to a #DUNE font generator, I was making my own mashups via traditional Photoshop.
Here's one I created last year (an annual tradition of mine is to make #DoctorWho -themed poster parodies of all the films in contention for a Best Picture Oscar).
