I grew up playing Mario Sunshine, Double Dash, and the Sonic Adventure games on my older brother's GameCube and absolutely adored all of them.
Now that I'm an adult, my favorites are probably Luigi's Mansion and the Sonic Adventure games still, but for different reasons than when I was a child.

Last night I played STS2 for the first time. I got to the Act 3 boss on my first run, then solo'd the Act 3 boss in my second run, where my friend died
I was hesitant about some of the Silent changes initially, but I was happily proven wrong.

I think I surprise people when I play Slay the Spire multiplayer with them since I don't often talk about how much I play STS. We'll be playing Spire With Friends and I'll tell them I finished Act 1 and their response tends to be along the lines of "Already?! It's been 5 minutes!"

I made the mistake of opening Twitter just now and almost immediately understood what you mean

Okay but that's not what I'm saying? I didn't say anything about accessibility or the "best" control scheme.
The larger shooter community tends to see gyro aim as a gimmick or a joke instead of a "real" control scheme option. However, Splatoon needing hitbox changes proves that's not the case.

Actually, I have a teammate on my competitive team who plays Wiper, Decav, Naut, and Dapple purely on sticks. I think the fact that we have match and tournament results qualifies as "doing well".

I find people calling gyro aim "unplayable" kinda funny, especially now that the Splatoon devs are making the player hitboxes smaller for the expressed reason of 'our playerbase as a whole has gotten too good at aiming with gyro', in a game with no aim assist.
