As far as things I was unprepared for as a parent go, the wave of pride felt upon my child feeding lettuce to a worm came as a surprise.

Update from my toddler's daycare today regarding worms - initial panic as to the nature of the worms in question subsided once I learned it was a worm farm my daughter showed interest in, not an infestation.

One thing I really miss about working in a city bookshop is always having people around for book chat. Customers, colleagues, innocent bystanders who made eye contact for more than 0.5 seconds, passing felines. The other thing is all the free books (waah!).

Was more of a scroller than a poster in the other place. Should I post here? Is it … is it safe?
