9. Wild about you by Kaitlyn Hill this book really grew on me. It took me a few chapters to warm up but I think that was on purpose. It was very good in the end.
8. This could be forever by ebony ladelle, I really enjoyed this look at umd, and an area of Maryland that I haven't spent time in in a while. I really enjoyed the flippy floppy narration and how beautiful everything was!

Lots of kingfisher on my reading list now. Gotta start working on my other library books. I have eleven books out that I could be reading, gotta whittle it down a little bit.
5. What stalks the deep, by t kingfisher, exactly what I need to be reading right now with the projects I have going on. I devoured this in an evening because inclement weather hours are reading hours.

3. The lost apothecary by Sarah penner, very very good, slow a bit to start but once I got into it I devoured. I love the way the perspective shifts. I want to murder some husbands. Love love love
2. The London seance society by Sarah penner. "If only I could run myself through a sieve, And separate the feelings inside me so to better deal with them one by one" I burned through this. Just absolutely devoured it. I loved it to pieces. Getting more as we speak. Good queer characters. Love.
1. Bird Day, by Mark e. Hauber. A great first step into the year. Amazing art by Tony Angell, very informative. I liked it!
26 books in 2026!! Gooooooo!!!
Holy crap!!! I actually finished 25 books this year. I'm really proud of myself!
25. Les misérables, vol. 1-2 : the manga / story and art by Takahiro Arai ; based on the novel by Victor Hugo ; I forgot about this one! I finished this on my breaks and during nap time at the daycare I worked at. The art was cute and very indicative of the story!
Also I lied...
24. Secret Baltimore: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure
Book by Evan Balkan I forgot that I finished this one!! A good guide to weird stuff in Baltimore, a very good resource for my project!!
I am happy that I got 5 nonfiction books in, fulfilling my quota for the year. I'm gonna do a quarter of them next year, so seven non fiction.
Okay so, there's no way for me to push through two more adult books in time for the new year, but I got really close and I'm even more hopeful that I can do 26 in 26. This was a lot of fun and I'm hoping to do it way better next year.
23. LGBT Baltimore by Louise Parker Kelley. Pretty good overview of queer history based in Baltimore, I'm pushing myself into Baltimore lore for an upcoming project, and I gleamed a few good facts from it.
22. Lucky day by Chuck tingle
Okay. So. This one stopped me in my tracks. The way he writes tragedy and depression is entirely too good. It put me off reading it for a bit because it was just too close to home. Very very good though.
21. I shall wear midnight, by terry Pratchett. This was good! Sir Terry's writing is like walking into warm water. It's so comforting and like home. I've missed it.
Btw, don't look up is a good fucking movie. Don't watch it if you have to sleep afterwards because I have fucking FEELINGS.
I will push us through this. Or I will die trying.
If I stand in my grave and I'm grateful that we tried, I will have lived a good life.
20. The Vanishing Station, by ana ellickson. I devoured this. It was so good, I love the way magic can be called with music and poetry. I immediately went to see about ordering the sequel and it's not out yet and uggggh I want mooore.
19. The Answer is...Reflections on my life, by Alex trebek. Very good, easy to read, stuff I had never heard before. A good read for jeopardy fans. A bit bittersweet now.
