Big question for my fellow writers: How do you think you'll choose your competition team? I’ve got my theories, but I need data! I dropped a poll in our NQW community page. Add your vote!

Thanks to @smokelong.bsky.social for the inspiration.
There’s something alchemical about holding your words in physical form. That file on your screen becomes a thing with weight, texture, and a place on a shelf. It brings me great joy that my story “Fold. Burn. Inhale” has found its paper home in @notquitewrite.com 2025 Anthology. Thanks, Ed & Amanda.
My new flash fiction: “The Taste of Closure.” Some recipes require an ingredient only you can provide. #MagicalRealism Read for free:

The ripples continue. So grateful to @notquitewrite.com for this Pushcart nomination, a new wave of honor for a story that refuses to be still.
My new flash fiction, "The Things People Do In The Sauna," is live. What happens when silent rage meets rosemary oil and sit-ups? A story of steam and social friction. Read for free: medium.com/@elda.orozco...
This new format is brilliant! It has me wondering... what are the rules for narrative espionage? Could a writer become a 'double agent,' submitting a sequel to a story from the rival team?
Just posted a new flash fiction story told through a hilarious/creepy FAQ. Proof that not all ghost stories have to be scary—some are just eternally bad at checking out. Read it for free:

As this week is Halloween, remember it's your annual permission slip to shed your adult skin. It's a glorious, cathartic night to explore a new identity and flirt with fear. The real magic is how the return to normal feels like a soft landing. Read more: medium.com/@elda.orozco... #Medium

Done! That was so much fun! Why are you getting rid of the anti-prompt? Remind me again! At this moment it makes no sense!!
The final anti-prompt has arrived: "Show don’t tell." It doesn’t feel like a challenge. It tastes like a permission slip.
Permission granted to break a rule the last time… Yes. Delicious.
Judges: Are you prepared... to be told?
The carefully framed reveal of the flesh feels like a deliberate gesture. It's an unspoken invitation...but an invitation to what? To a dance, to a secret, or perhaps to ruin... What is waiting for us?
Thank you!
I woke to the best news: a dark whisper found golden wings. Thank you @notquitewrite.com for this honor. This story is proof that a prompt can be the most powerful muse. It is about a love so consuming it must be inhaled, and the primal hunger to feel a presence, by any means necessary.
I was hoping it would be an unforgettable rendezvous. 😉 I love it when a plan comes together.
Absolutely over the moon to be longlisted for the NotQuiteWritePrize! Thank you to the judges and to @akscotland.bsky.social for reading my words. It was a wonderful experience hearing them read out on your podcast. That’s a first for me! Congratulations to everyone on the list!
Group 7, you?

Round 2 bound! Huge thanks to NYC Midnight for the nod—time to brew up fresh stories.
Wow, ‘most gripping thing you’ve read’? That’s going straight to my confidence bank. Thank you!
