The Hidden Loser in Trump’s Auto Tariffs: Domestic EV Manufacturing The president’s new tariffs on imported vehicles and his plans to kill a popular tax credit will likely torpedo demand for vehicles made by American workers.

Trump’s tariffs would hurt domestic EV manufacturers — except for Tesla. Ain’t that something.

Great reporting, as always, from David Ferris @politico @eenews.

Musk reportedly spent $40M on #Superbowl ads calling #USAID wasteful. Here’s how we

This is what it looks like when you lose a massive spacecraft on its way to orbit right over the Caribbean. Lots of commercial flights turning/holding/diverting to avoid falling debris from SpaceX's Starship.

Shoutout to the Los Angeles Times reporters who are doing essential journalism under very difficult circumstances.

They’ve dropped their paywall, but their ongoing coverage is a good reminder of why local newsrooms need support — and what we lose when those outlets are hollowed out.

Dear @dcpublicschools.bsky.social: You know you want to preemptively declare a snow day for Monday. Don’t even think of it as a snow day; it’s experiential learning on meteorology, physics (sledding), and the human form (making snowmen). Do you want to disappoint the kids? DO YOU? ☃️

The prices of everything are so maddening right now. I just missed the $66 Acela train so am paying $87 for the regional train. The next later train was briefly priced at $15 — a steal — but is now $47. Remember when we thought Uber’s pricing was confusing?
