Having seen dieticians as a diabetic, yes. They talk about macros (carbs esp, of course) but also what you like, what you won’t eat, convenience to find foods and make them. I found it helpful.

We have a whole other feast day for when Mary says yes to God’s plan: the feast of the Annunciation, March 25 … you know, 9 months before Christmas. Today’s feast of the Immaculate Conception comes 9 months before the Sept 8 feast of the Nativity of Mary, otherwise known as Mary’s birthday

It was about 15 feet away from me, though the picture makes it look closer. I took the picture from above it as it's about a half-flight of stairs beneath me. The picture was taken at nighttime but phone camera technology makes the scene look clear and well lit. Background is a wide ditch with green grass and an empty road.

This column on U.S. concentration camps is the one I hoped I’d never write
Andrea Pitzer literally wrote the book on concentration camps. I talked to her about how they came to America.

Pets are family too, and losing your mom doesn’t erase the pain of losing Linus. 💔
I was a teenager in the 80s, not the 90s, but this book resonated so much with me
