I am so happy he’s a Red right now, and I’ll be crushed when the Dodgers steal him for $1B to help them win another World Series when it comes to it.

Shahzia Sikander’s Transgressive Femininity In the artist's works, a woman is at once a social subject pushing back against marginalization and a disruptive energy, a flow that transcends barriers.

Photographed NYC-based artist Shahzia Sikander's fantastic exhibit at the Cincinnati Art Museum, was privileged to meet her (she's wonderful), and was lucky enough to go to Cleveland to photograph her exhibit there for her, too.

Seeing those images on Hyperallergic this morning is so satisfying.

Yeah, ending a relationship sucks, but have you ever made the difficult decision to unsubscribe from a podcast you used to love?

Fighting a nasty cold while trying to work through it. Gotta make that money, sadly.

Stand up is one of my favorite things to listen to/watch, but I’ve never watched or listened to Kill Tony before. I decided to give the Netflix special a go, and I made it 12 mins before turning it off.

I know this isn’t the benchmark for modern stand up, but I didn’t expect it to be this unfunny.

They’re all over Reels. I keep getting them in my feed. I’ve never seen people act worse in a movie theater. It’s wild.

Have you seen the videos of what they’re talking about? They come up in my Reels and it’s like watching a train wreck. I can’t look away.

Yes. I also wish it would stir interaction more with randoms who have similar interests. I don't like Threads, but I feel like I'm yelling into the void on Bluesky, and over there it's far more active.

That’s amazing. I’m continually impressed with how the iPad performs, especially compared to the phone after 4 years.

What do you do at that point? Grab Sid and head to the hallway?

Steve Jobs’ famous ‘third device’ may not have much time left - 9to5Mac Steve Jobs called iPad “a third category of device,” but what happens when foldable iPhones can operate as both smartphone and tablet?

I've been using the same 2018 12-inch iPad Pro since it launched for drawing and light tasks. A $2K foldable iPhone without a stylus and a smaller screen doesn't appeal to me at this time. Considering how Apple missed the mark with Vision Pro, I doubt iPad is doomed.

Pour one out for Tim. He died like a pig.

Finally decided to watch Andor after three years of not watching Andor. (It came out when I was too into Trek to care about Wars).

The fact they named one of the main characters “Tim” instead something like Slurd or Togwarth or Yanz immediately puts it at the top of my list.

OH MY GOD

Oh god, Star Trek V was so bad. I need to see that one again because I don’t remember much about it besides suffering through it. Shatner should’ve never been in charge of making a movie.

It’s obviously a bad movie, its problems are many, and my eyeballs rolled out of my head 20+ times while watching it, but it’s not my least favorite Trek thing I’ve seen. I hope whatever straight-to-streaming Trek movie they make in the future isn’t more of this, though.

As a fan of I Think You Should Leave and as a bigger fan of Star Trek, I was wholly unprepared for the Sam Richardson reveal in this Section 31 movie (yes, finally getting around to watching it).

The sweet spot for game shows is when they’re 15 years past their prime, on their third host, and the contestants are playing for a top prize of $5000.

Thankful everyday that I’m not a person who takes a vacation to the same beach in Florida every year because I lack the imagination to go literally anywhere else.
