Is max thinking adaptive thinking? I wasn’t quite sure how to ensure it’s doing extended thinking and I’m not sure I trust its decisions if left to be adaptive.

The details here are pretty bad. Hegesth personally intervened after the military officers in charge refused to block the promotion.
