It’s one thing to use it to enhance your ability to function. It’s another to rely on it to think. AI gets a lot wrong. As it stands, I’ve had to prove this multiple times as my coworkers use it for basic things when I repeatedly demonstrate that they’re getting fed incorrect information from it.

I’m in an office as management and I still get told what to do by the cats.

I have been dealing with mine for so long despite being relatively recently diagnosed (last 4 years) that I have my ways of mitigating, including watching things like Love on the Spectrum and hitting the gym. Basically distractions.

As an autistic adult, pray you don’t come across me and assume I can’t do things because I can do them and probably do it better.

I too am on the spectrum, I chase weather, I work in IT management, drive (my preferred way of travel), married, and I did have a desire to play football and hockey as a kid but wasn’t exactly coordinated. There are more of us doing things than people realize.

No one up there does. It’s taken a lot for me to not go into meltdown over what is going on in DC and what they’re doing to friends, particularly in the weather service and how that is already hurting citizens (that’s just one example).
