I need to see inside.

I like how everything in that picture is giving the sky the middle finger.

The correct answer is to tell them that they get to help you clean when you wake up. :p

I agree. Sunday Morning is for staying in pajamas and doing nothing slowly.

Oh yeah. I tried Mrs. Dalloway last year. I couldn't do it either.

Have you ever started reading a book and decided it was going to drive you crazy and bore you to tears to be inside that guy's head going from tangent to tangent rather than getting to the actual story?

Next.

KEFI (Maison des Animaux)

Of the fragrances in the Maison des Animaux discovery set I won, this is my favorite ... and one I almost didn't pick.

It's like stepping into an evergreen and eucalyptus forest in winter while eating orange slice candies.

The only time I was called, it was for a state I hadn't lived in in years. Although, after seeing a co-worker age 10 years during a murder trial, I wouldn't want to. They wouldn't pick me anyway since I'd never support a death sentence.

Interesting. It must have been temporary because editing is back.

Perhaps all apps haven't changed yet? This is new for me today.

Apparently, the house has a playlist to go with its scents. And it's kinda just what I needed. open.spotify.com/playlist/5FO...

I also never appreciated lantana when it was one of the few flowers anyone grew in my childhood. Now, it's kinda pretty.

2020 me would be having a strong gin and tonic right now. 2026 me has to manage with calming herbal perfume and tea with our constitution crumbling.

An ink I've loved is Alchemia's Raven. It's a little masculine, but I think a lot of ink fragrances tend to be.

#SOTD:

SQUID (Zoologist)

Warmth and salty sea spray off the ocean, soft resins, and something softly sweet.

If Cthulhu's here, he's forgotten us. Let him sleep.

A work of art.

I was sad that this was a miss. The Scent doesn’t really match the name.

#SOTD:
KORRIGAN (Lubin)

Named after evil Celtic dwarves.

Smells like the vanilla gourmand of Heal the Way with medicinal whisky-splashed leather and caramel.

Not really my style.

#SOTD:
BLACK JADE (Lubin)

This is the fragrance you calm yourself with when you're Marie Antoinette headed to the guillotine, based on the original formula.

It's resinous & ambery, green & herbal, realistic cardamom-intense, with rose & powdery tonka well-blended into the whole.

Always a love

I guess I'm officially in the era of my teen stealing all my clothes because she likes them better.

I find that this one is very weather dependent. I like it most in cooler humid weather.

I ended up asking for a discovery set, & Aurate was the one I left off, being choice 6. Ha. Someone compared it to Heretic Dirty Vanilla, which I have a sample of but only use for layering. So, I thought I'd not miss it too much. Ended up asking for Beltane, Nocturn, Nostalgia, Night Market, & Kefi.

I feel like Beltane is the safe choice, but Nocturn is giving me the gothy witchy siren call. Those 2 have my top votes.

Hmm ... I won my choice of fragrance from Maison des Animaux. What should I get?

Wow. Saint Julep lasts most of the day on me and is kind of strong. So, I have to plan ahead. Different body chemistry!

Agreed. I gave my teenaged daughter my sample.

#SOTD:

KHAMRAH QUAWAH (Lattafa)

I keep looking for the perfect cozy rich winter scent and rememered I had a bit of this one. It's rich and ambery, with deeply browned caramel and coffee notes. One of the only 2 Lattafas I kind of like.
