Thoughts & prayers for those at risk of the tsunami in NE Japan. We travelled down that stretch of beautiful coastline two years ago. The tsunami protection measures already in place are truly astonishing in their gargantuan size - 🤞 they do their job today.

Console yourself with the thought that they’ll have suffered for their supper.

An excellent pre-birthday dinner (because she’s off to Sumatra before the Big Day) with my daughter at the Som Saa in Whitechapel. Their signature deep fried sea bass was simply wonderful.

This time last year, we were spotting turtles in Wellington harbour. Memories!
