HEY ATLANTA! Whatcha doing Saturday? Come to the Mimms tech museum at 2pm, where I'll present "Apple: The Musical!"
Well, kind of. It's actually a talk about Apple's first 50 years, with song parodies at the piano. Anyway, you'll have a great time!

Ugh, I know. Makes me furious. I supplied an Illustrator file for that graphic... the layout people should have known!
yes! All our stories are also at cbssundaymorning.com!
Today on "CBS Sunday Morning," I tried to get to the bottom of the question, "Is your phone listening to you ( to show you ads)?" I interviewed both an ad expert and an anti-ad activist and researcher. You won't believe what they said. Literally.

Apple: The First 50 Years by @davidpogue.bsky.social isn’t just a tech book. It’s the real story behind the products you’ve used your entire life. The wins, the failures, the people. This is the one people will be talking about. #AppleTheFirst50Years #Apple

RIGHT!? It's absolutely bizarre...
It's absolutely bizarre. This is apparently true for MOST Apple Books, but not all (I Googled it). I'm looking into this with my publisher!
And a leather cover! :)
This makes me so freaking happy. It's @daringfireball.bsky.social review of "Apple: The First 50 Years."
"The book is nothing short of an instant classic —just a remarkable, essential, and unique work."

Today, on Apple’s 50th anniversary, I’ve written up five stories from my own relationship with Apple. Most of ‘em, I’ve never told before!

Today's the day: Apple's 50th anniversary!
To help celebrate, I've written a story for New York mag called "Searching for Steve Jobs." It's my attempt, based on knowing Jobs a little and interviewing people who knew him a lot, to pin down what he was really like.

Ohhh, I see! Yeah--the publisher gave me a hard limit of 600 pages to this thing. So it was either make some of the photos small, cut them entirely, or cut more of the text. It was a balancing act!
Today's free “Pogue’s Posts” column: My review of Apple's new $600 laptop, the MacBook Neo. Spoiler: It's great.

“On developing the iPhone in secret: Apple told its suppliers, like Samsung (processor), Marvell (the Wi-Fi chip), and CSR (Bluetooth chip), that their components would be going into a new *iPod*; Apple even supplied fake schematics and design documents to support the lie.” * Photo courtesy of David Pogue * Book image from applefirst50.com / David Pogue @ PMUG - April 14, 2026 • pmug-nj.org / Photo courtesy of David Pogue • Book image from applefirst50.com
