PS: What's that got to do with Val Lewton and THE CAT PEOPLE?

Hmm, what are you saying? Look, it doesn't matter—it went down as it went down, it was what it was, it is what it is. We told Alan Moore we were going to keep sneaking Sting into SWAMP THING panels, "better make him a character." Alan made him into John Constantine. Live with it.

Seen in theater this past week.

One of my pitches for kaiju for my abortive collaboration on Dark Horse's GODZILLA comic book back in the 1980s. I revamped this for my own uses later on.

Val Lewton, producer of the classic THE CAT PEOPLE (1942), wrote this short story for WEIRD TALES in the early 1930s. Tracked down a copy of the issue for a different tale, pleasantly surprised to find this in the same issue—a forgotten slice of genre film history origins, in the pulps.

Frightmare (1974) Blu-ray Review: Cannibal Mother on the Loose - Cinema Sentries Caused quite a stink upon its release in England due to its use of cannibalism, minor gore and improper use of a power tool.

I asked, and Cardinal Syn says 'no', also for no rational reason.

The original Cardinal Syn portrait I painted the very morning of my final dream/nightmare with this fella.

Original art was returned by the great Murphy Anderson III earlier this year; it had been out of my reach since 1996, I'd given up on ever seeing it again, but Murphy's the hero!

I didn't post about it when it happened (January 2025), but lost a lot of books/zines/magazines/comics/backstock in a basement library flood last year. Spent about 6 weeks with books etc. drying by our gas stove enuf to inventory losses before disposing of it all. Bummer, but dealt with it.

It's true; I've only seen 2 Canada license plates in VT in 2026 thus far. We're justifiably considered a pariah nation now, & neighboring states like NH are working hard to become pariah states within our nation (there's already a list of 'em I'll never willingly spend a nickel in again in my life).
