EEZs account for 150 million km2, and high seas is 210 million km2. #2 Global ocean uptake between 2011-2020 was 9.59 GtCO₂/yr, and 3.31 of that was in EEZs, and 6.28 was in the high seas. The first two figures also gave breakdown for the top 20 countries. #3 A global map of anthropogenic CO₂ fluxes over the global ocean, showing that uptake was mainly in the high latitudes.
NDCs include managed land CO₂ sinks but not ocean ones, and they shouldn't. Ocean uptake of anthropogenic CO₂ is due to physics and biogeochemistry and not anything we're doing. Plus, ocean sinks are already included in the remaining C budget. 🌊
