Another reminder that RFK Jr’s obsession with harming and fomenting hatred of autistic and chronically ill people truly knows no bounds.
The danger of what that man espouses can’t be overstated.

How useful! I could plug in so many space heaters to that.
Trump increased his share of the popular vote, and his vote total, in each successive election.
Nearly 1 in 2 voters will select Republican congressional candidates this fall.
These are things the rest of the world should read as well.
Take the wrong lesson from a movie:
Airplane!
The white zone is for loading and unloading of passengers only. There’s no stopping in the red zone.
Healthcare is a right.
You shouldn’t have to earn it.
It shouldn’t be dependent on employment or economic status.
It shouldn’t be something you have to fight for.
It shouldn’t be something that leaves you in debt for life.
Universal healthcare saves lives.
I fled Utah after living there for 15 years due to the constant attacks on trans people, even the University of Utah hospital capitulating in advance of expected bans.
Moving took every cent I had and I worry it still won't be enough, not when hospitals keep treating us as expendable.
Once again, the right is openly admitting that the entire focus on trans youth is to ultimately ban all gender affirming care for adults.
All the credulous reporters and institutions that helped launder this right wing project are responsible.

Graphic with a dark red background. Text reads, "There is no such thing as “mild” autism. "If an autistic person is not “obviously” autistic, either they are masking for their safety or others’ convenience—which in the long term imperils their mental health—or they are actually getting the supports and accommodations they need, so they aren’t forced to demonstrate distress or dysregulation." Smaller text in the lower right corner reads, "@ThinkingAutism ThinkingAutism.com" The Thinking Person's Guide to Autism logo is in the lower right corner.

The tears are trying to fill a large void in in a big heart 💜
I am so sorry 🫂
And so it begins.
The Cassandra Complex “Moscow, Idaho”
a trans person telling a doctor their assigned sex at birth is significantly more likely to result in their mistreatment than letting them assume cisness in 95% of cases because the average doctor does not have the care or understanding required about the nuances of trans bodies and how weve changed
After my cat passed 4 years ago, I got a pendant urn that I wear when I need her presence with me. And her resting place is on a prominent shelf in my apartment. She was such a huge part of my life for so long and time has done little to dull the pain of her loss.
There’s a thing about being trans and passing that seems to perplex new trans folk and did me, too, way back when. That older folk before me seemed less fussed about passing. It didn’t make sense - like, why bother? And I’ve only been able to put it into words recently. 🧵
GFS map of temperature anomalies over the contiguous USA for March 21, 2026.
We need to talk a bit about how utterly absurd the March heatwave was in the USA.
This heatwave would have been impossible without a boost from climate change, but even with climate change it remains a deeply unlikely event.
A thread looking at some of the numbers.

I'm one of those trans women. I worked ground ops for Artemis I.
I am torn between celebrating the success of my friends and peers and grieving how my dream of working for NASA was shattered by hateful assholes in Tallahassee
I didn’t know “rawdogging a flight” is something people actually say.
Then again, I still snicker when people refer to participating in that bean-bag toss game as “playing cornhole.” Really doesn’t seem like something that belongs at family-friendly events.
They complain they’re powerless yet are consistently unwilling to wield what power they do have. And they quite readily signal that they’ll continue to do nothing.
I loathe the Democratic Party for its fecklessness almost as much as I hate the Republican Party for its fascism.
New — I wrote about the terror and loss of the last few days, mostly so we don’t forget.

Screen grab from Star Trek 4 Cabbie: Hey, why don't you watch where you're going, you dumbass! Kirk: Well, double dumbass on you!
This is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen.
“You’ve got to say ‘I’m a human being, goddammit! My life has value!’”
Truly one of the most quotable movies.
Amy Klobuchar is definitely going to win.
and that sucks. but instead of putting our collective energy into trying to change that, which we probably can’t, we should put the effort into winning seats in the state legislature.
win enough that you make Amy the least powerful part of state gov
Americans suffer from a desperate need to believe in the inherent goodness of the American electorate--the idea that a voter in 2024--after nearly a decade of unfiltered, widely broadcast, deeply fascist rhetoric from Donald Trump--was simply "tricked" by a Facebook algorithm or a Fox News segment.
Some of the reasons: Flights are really expensive, it is too pricey to drive with current gas prices, the US keeps "joking" about Canada as the 51st state, the travel bans, every country is affected by Trump's tariffs, ICE is at airports, and US citizens and green card holders have been detained.
On the substance of the day, and as I’ve made clear here and in the piece, today was truly a crisis akin to January 6. What happened today is not sustainable and Trump must be removed from office. When the clock was ticking, I explained how 25 could be used bc of its immediate effect.
Anyway, we have ample research on how living under a state of sustained terror and stress causes life-long health problems as well as intergenerational epigenetic effects. This feels like it's making you sick because it actually is making you sick.
Today is International Asexuality Day. As someone who falls on the aroace spectrum and is also autistic, friendly reminder that autistic people are more likely to be ace and/or aro, but that does NOT mean that autistic people can't or don't want relationships or sex, even if they are asexual.
