Ran a good 5.4 miles this morning! Following some advice from a friend who is an ultra marathoner I’ve been doing 45-second (up from 20-seconds when I started) run intervals with 3-minute walk intervals. Today, I lowered my walk interval to 2-minutes!

Walked into Bavette’s Chicago which is HARD to do. Was stalking an open seating table in the bar. The couple noticed and started making small talk. Turns out one is a prof and one is in med school. We chatted about higher ed for a while as they paid their bill. Table secured.
When you only pack cute fall clothes for Chicago because the weather says overcast, rainy, and 70 degrees. And you know that with wind from the lake it often feels colder. Instead it’s humid and feels like 85 and you’re slowing sweating to death. 🥵🔥 #ChicagoSurprise #NotFallYet

I have maintained for literal years that “I’m not a beach boy”. On our cruise this summer we had a beach day on an island and I LOVED it. I don’t know what has changed in my brain chemistry but suddenly I like beach? I’m suddenly #Ken and my job is beach.
