But my heart is burbling about creating a Call of Cthulhu adventure set in northern KY.

I get to drive 11 hours solo tomorrow, so thinking about TTRPGs is inevitable. I should plan details for my volunteer gig to run Perils and Princesses for tweens and teens at the public library!

Cat chaos? That’s what would have happened at my house.

Running Cthulhu by Gaslight today was decidedly enjoyable. I will do that again!

These are the dangers. Beware also popcorn, especially in a darkened movie theater.

Have you met anyone with glasses, hearing aids, or a daily med they must take in order to function? Those are disabilities. So is arthritis. If we’re lucky, all of us get old enough to become disabled. Disability rights & accessibility accommodations are better for everyone.

Things I learned today that are not compatible: simultaneously cleaning Brussels sprouts and reading a catalog of Weird mythos monsters.

Also, my dad did a fairly good sized renovation when I was 5-6. What used to be where the 2nd floor bathroom was built?

I moved out of my first childhood home at age 9. Never been back to the property since then. Today, I am attempting to recreate the floorplan from memory for TTRPG reasons. Additional challenge, I cannot draw, at all.

Spending my lunch break listening to a podcast about the Great Hunger because reading This House Will Feed is blowing my mind. I am amazed every day by how much I don’t know. On one hand, It’s an indictment of my US public K-12 education, but it also lets me continue to learn as I live.

We survived and killed the spawn of Nyarlathotep! One of our party rescued an infant and died protecting him. The best part was the original folk song version of the chant for the Eye of Light and Darkness sung and accompanied by banjo.

It has been a week. What is keeping me going right now is that tomorrow we will end our year plus Masks of Nyarlathotep campaign. So much mayhem awaits in that last 3 hours!

I would like to thank the Academy for ending that show before 10:45pm.

Unambiguously yes.

Not quite the same thing, but I have my little cadre of Good for Her films with Little Hours, The Witch, Pillow Talk, Sense & Sensibility, and Down with Love (need to rewatch in case it doesn’t hold up). But I should gather a better list.

Nope, all basements I grew up with were converted into wood shops by/for my dad.

I want a little RPG reading time today for morale. Trouble is that reading a game is fun but also gets my brain hungry to play a game. And that requires scheduling.

I’m sorry friend. I am sure you enjoy the sartorial pleasures of hats, but that’s not a solution.

There are lots of folks more qualified to answer this question, but I think book bans, the erosion of rights for LGBTQIA folks, shenanigans by financial processing companies & an extremely small number of big publishers can make it astonishingly quick for support to vanish.

I love romance novels, so I get some publisher newsletters about upcoming titles. Seeing queer books just vanish from these in the past 6 months is so enraging/depressing. We know queer books can sell; please publish and promote them!
