The winning robot beat the best human time. Might look like a quaint engineering experiment but now these things can out-run us, how long before they are armed too? This is surely the future nobody wants - other than some deranged warmongers.

How I arrived on Bluesky.
I'm thinking far more fundamentally; about how food could be unprocessed, utilities nationalised and housing existing to house people, not for profit. Insects worshipped. Basically I'm disappointed that we are not living in a socialist/environmental/peaceful utopia, instead of war and degradation.

Too late, we've gone back further - over on the other channel #HaroldWilson is trending.
Be great to have a joyful programme in mould of Tomorrow's World, but called Today's World, in which we are told of all the great advances and improvements on our daily lives, so that boomers like me won't keep droning on about how much better things were before enshittification.
NEW COLUMN: *Take me home, #IslandRoads* In which I weave tale around a trip to #MayflowerTheatre to see #mentalist #DerrenBrown, with eternal gamble of catching the last #RedFunnel #RedJet, plus added frustration of pesky road closures on the #IsleOfWight.
