Comic Strip Contemplation Comic strips reigned supreme back in the 1930s. The Sunday sections were printed much larger than they are today and were a thing of beauty to behold.

A few thoughts from someone who's worked in the comic strip biz for 35+ years.

Sally Forth is a mixture of digital and traditional. I prefer traditional methods, so try to do as much pen and ink drawing as possible. Production of the strip. (scanning, lettering, formatting) all requires digital, so the computer is a necessity for that, of course.

The old Mac is OS X El Capitan (version 10.11) with Photoshop CS5.1

2 days and $350 dollars later, and the battery in my MacBook Pro has been replaced. 🫤

Battery was dying on my MacBook Pro, so hauled out my 11-year-old MacBook Pro (and old Wacom tablet) to use while it was in the shop. Old Photoshop version as well - installed, not subscription. Wonky, but workable.
