This is what happens when we continue to refer to them as lactation "accommodations." They're not special bonus luxuries for people who "choose the lactating lifestyle." They are biologically necessary policies and physical spaces.
Every healthcare provider everywhere needs to understand this: Ensuring that breastfeeding and lactation are possible, protected, and prioritized improves the health of infants and their lactating parents in the short- and long term. #IBCLC
Medical care providers: When treating a patient of reproductive age, assume that they want to preserve their capacity for breastfeeding and lactation. There's likely a treatment option that will be compatible with that. That's how we achieve true informed choice in infant feeding. #BreastHealth
