People are always talking about slop, but we need more people talking about slosh!

I will say it's a shame since people can genuinely learn a lot from each other and not get into dumb fights but yeah I guess that is just how social media works

Bonus points if gork makes an extremely bad mistranslation on posts and makes worse

It's funny seeing how the auto translations on Twitter went from like this period of people being like kinda chill and happy to understand each other better, to almost immediately devolve into the typical Twitter bullshit

It's sad but at the time expected too

You know I find it strange how some people try to police what creators can and can not say or do. I understand when it's something serious, and that stuff ought to be talked about, but then I see people getting mad at creators for very unserious shitposts and it's just kinda confusing to me

The worse that could happen is nothing, but the best thing that could happen is something and hey giving it a shot isn't usually a bad idea

One Extra thing I thought about that I wanted to add on for this

I've seen a couple people saying that it's "not possible" for their theater given their remoteness in some cases, which I can understand, but also I would like to say that there really is no harm in trying to ask them about it anyway

In the end though, now that it's here, maybe people ought to be a bit more productive and try to see if there are ways to address these concerns in a thoughtful way than just being aggressive about it

Just my 2 cents for today

The spoilers stuff is more understandable and in general I be more concerned with people just going to theaters and recording it with webcams and stuff and then just uploading it wholesale

like emailing local cinemas and stuff, which they are encouraging, I don't understand why people freaking out on them for that, since it's not that hard and also from what I understand is not an uncommon practice either

Got to say, I've noticed that a lot of people are being like incredibly aggressive over the TADC theater stuff

Like I get the spoilers stuff and some of the location troubles but at the same time there was stuff they were doing to try to make a it little better

That isn't to say that google translate is too much better, it will get things wrong, but I'd probably trust a little more than AI (or at least gork anyway)

Yeah that's the big sticking point for it for sure

Having a language translated through AI will always have the problem of the AI misinterpreting the meaning of something and destroying any nuance or context of a post

Honest question but how do yall feel about posts being auto translated?

I think I've come to the conclusion that I should never trust people's opinion of localization and localizers on social media because holy hell I think every take I've seen on it is just bad

I really do need to just kinda hit the kill switch and delete my twitter account for good

The amount of heartburn I get from viewing the average twitter user's opinion is not worth occasionally seeing an okayish tweet or even some of the art I like

Like honestly I've literally never seen one fandom that hasn't had an "incident" or have it's "problem people"

Literally every single one of them has had something happen and I've never seen one that hasn't, so I just don't understand why people feel the need to keep making videos like that

I really do gotta wonder why people still make "look how awful this fandom is!!" videos when honestly they kinda just copy the same point from the last one, which is always "Wow some people on the internet are kinda bad lol!"

It's especially sad to me because I recall that he was very passionate about art in general in interviews and stuff

Well at least I can separate them from the show

Man learning that the creator of courage the cowardly dog has become a cryptobro and is just generally in the Gen-AI scene, at least from what I can tell, is just sad

You know it's kinda crazy that there is non-zero amount of twitter users who exclusively rely on gork to give them information

It's hard to wrap my head around that, since of all things why would you rely on gork specifically

I'm glad I have maintained being a lurker in regards to a lot of online communities (outside of a select few), because man seeing immature/unprofessional discourse on stuff I like gives me secondhand embarrassment

Kinda of a different tangent, but I never understood the whole "this game/console didn't sale well so it's unimportant and bad actually!" It's such a strange argument that I've only really seen pop up these days

Haven't had internet since December and really need the money to either fix it or (hopefully) change providers so I'll be taking a couple more of these. Reposts are very much appreciated
