Maybe it's not too late to learn how to love and forget how to hate.

I love this idea! What would you teach? What would you want your friends to teach?

I literally want my tax dollars to support national parks, science, education, conservation, mental health, and helping marginalized people in case that wasn’t clear.
Unfortunately, it falls into a peculiar category of things where saying what it is kind of defeats the purpose, so it's a secret.
I wanted to come up with something actually meaningful to give up for Lent this year. I had such a visceral reaction to the first thing that came to mind that I literally said out loud, "I hate it." And that's when I knew what I was going to give up for Lent.
My next steps:
- build community
- make new connections
- strengthen existing friendships
- find time for quality time
- generosity focus
If you went to college:
1. Career goal?
2. Initial major?
3. Did you switch majors?
4. Current occupation?
1. No
2. Biomedical engineering
3. to Computer Science then Business Administration
4. Product Strategist
should have stuck with CS; I enjoyed it best and still ended up in software

I can't wait till my MAGA relatives realize that everything they hate about recent changes to college football is just capitalism. They're detailing all of the issues with the system, and I'm like, "You're literally describing a free market and suggesting regulation."

What a wonderful podcast idea! Even if it was a sort of "limited series" or something, I'd love for it to happen.
I wrote The Ultimate Quest: A Geek's Guide to Church. It's a starter guide to Christianity from an Episcopal POV, in the style of a D&D manual. A seminary classmate drew incredible cartoons for it, so if you ever wanted to see an orc in a cotta, this book is for you!
As someone who moved to an Episcopal church shortly after this was published, I can confirm it's great. I came from a different (but similar) Christian denomination, but the way it's written seems like it would be approachable for people with no Christian background.
If y'all like this, have I got the podcast for you! itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/M...

Thanks to @cyan.com @rwarzecha.bsky.social @karlj.bsky.social @gilespink.bsky.social @edoublea.bsky.social @shoomlah.bsky.social et al. I'm a curious kid again.
It does really feel like "the good old days" of early social media here right now, but if bsky keeps growing, commercial and political interest in it will, too. We have to work now to keep things civil later. @bsky.app

And most importantly, DON'T STOP TOMORROW. Voting is only a small part of the solution. It's one opportunity to tell the government what you want. But ultimately, it's up to all of us to actually get out and do the hard work of society.
