mRNA technology may be THE most underrated and unfairly scrutinized (fuck you COVID antivax crew) medical breakthrough in my lifetime.
Like... The things this is already showing it can do in the last 5-7 years is incredible.

Some mother fuckers always trying to rewatch Blade (1998) uphill
Every so often I would do a page of 8-bit Theater where part of the joke was how bad/ugly/amateur the comic page itself was. In theory this would go much faster than a normal page! In practice it always took the same amount of time because making a bad/ugly/amateur page with intent is also art!
It’s inaccurate to say Mario is brave and Luigi is cowardly
Luigi is afraid of death, so he runs away from danger. Mario is afraid of living, so he runs towards death. Both brothers are cowards in their own way

Correct
One of the text styles has a decoration setting that highlights the text, so in the Text Style menu, that entry is just a block of white due to (not quite correctly) replicating the highlight. It's "fine", I know which one that is in the menu, but I'd rather the whole menu just displayed normal text

Affinity Publisher 2 question.
When looking at the list of Text Styles, the text of every entry in that list is styled like the Text Style itself.
Where is the option to make this list display every entry in one uniform style, y’know, like a normal list?
A flatscreen display on a "smart" water fountain, demanding to be reconnected to the internet.
In 1999, I was playing a decker in Shadowrun, and tried to distract a guard by hacking a water fountain to overflow, and my GM said "why would a water fountain be on the network? That's fucking stupid. No you can't try."
Well it's 2026 and I just want you to know, Phil, that I FUCKING CALLED IT!

ZOHRAN: “TBH, I don’t think too much about how Republicans portray me. The power of an ideology is judged in the worth of its delivery— to be told a city-run grocery store is implausible but $500 MILLION/day to kill ppl in Iran & Lebanon is necessary speaks to a broken politics.”
Democrats planning to run in November’s midterm elections have been advised not to antagonise pro-AI campaign groups that have amassed more than $300mn to fight for the industry’s priorities. The warnings by top party consultants, corroborated by people close to four different campaigns and party strategists speaking on the condition of anonymity, come despite internal polling for Democrats showing widespread public support for tougher AI rules.
They're calling it the best democracy ever.

Literally got serious about doing Atomic Robo the day I read an incredibly dull and clunky comic with a robot main character.
And most of the plots start as “This is my version of X” or “If they had done Y right, it would look like this.”
the actual best bond song of the last several years is from, of all things, cyberpunk 2077's dlc phantom liberty

It, again, truly doesn't matter whether vibecoding actually caused the outages or not - when you start bragging about how claude is making every engineer on staff more productive and the site goes through months of persistent downtime, that's a Statement.

NEW: A new pre-print study offers the first causal evidence that outsourcing reasoning tasks to AI can rapidly erode users' independent performance AND their will to persist despite difficulty.
"People’s persistence drops... they’re also not willing to try without AI.”

Anyway, we need to go back to bands getting popular the old fashioned way, by taking hostage a radio station with realistic looking squirt guns and winning the heart of a recalcitrant disc jockey who is mad at management and then releasing a number one hit record while in prison for your crime.
