Suggestions please! We’ve got a mixed Y1/2 class. The y1s will be accessing phonics with the class teacher, while the y2s will (ideally) be using an app/game on the iPads to support spelling. They’ll have a TA with them, but won’t be in the classroom with the teacher. Recs for apps please? #edusky
First day at my new school done and dusted! Really positive day and a gorgeous team to work alongside! I have a feeling that it’s going to be a great year ❤️ #edusky #primaryedusky
Thank you so much! ☺️☺️
Love this idea! 🤩
I will need all the luck in the world, believe me! The first unit is outdoor hockey 😅
Very close to my hometown! Always missing it - so nice to see it being captured so beautifully!
Never mind becoming DHT… I’ve just realised that I haven’t taught PE since 2020 and now I’ll be teaching it weekly with 34 uks2 children - that’s gonna be the real challenge 😅😅 #edusky #eduprimary
I have previously used The Dragon Machine with year four! We focused on the use on fronted adverbials, -ly starters and similes - lots of opportunities to describe setting and characters ☺️
Thanks so much! ☺️☺️
Love it! 🫶🏼📚
Thank you!! I’m hoping the bigger space will encourage even more of a love for reading 🫶🏼
Thank you! ☺️☺️
Thank you! 🫶🏼 they were already in the classroom, but I think they’re just cheap-ish ones from b&m or the range! ☺️
This is my nearly-finished reading corner! I just need to sort the books and add an “our reading journey” display above 📚
I have a huge classroom, so I’m loving being able to dedicate some real space to our reading area 🫶🏼
I love this, thank you for sharing! I’ll definitely be using this with my 5/6 class 🫶🏼
Thank you! ☺️
I would love a copy of the pdf version to share with staff if possible? Thanks so much, looks really useful! 🩷
Absolutely! Send me a message any time ☺️🫶🏼
Congratulations!! 🫶🏼
Thought I’d do an intro, seeing as I’m new to this space!
I’m Sophie, 28 & about to start my 7th year of teaching! I’m starting in a new school (catholic primary) as DHT and Y5/6 teacher. Most of my experience is Y1 - been in Y4 also! Excited for my first time teaching UKS2🥳 #edusky #eduskyprimary
Thank you for this! I feel like I definitely needed to hear this advice 🫶🏼 I’m already nervous about not having all the answers all the time, but this has made me feel soo much better! Glad to hear that you’re loving it, I’m sure you’ll continue to thrive next year 🩷
Love that!!! 🩷 I’ve just finished my sixth year, so I’ve got plenty to learn still, but I’ve got an amazing Headteacher who I know is going to be amazing to work alongside!
Absolutely!! 😂🩷 I’ve got a leadership planner from Busy Teacher’s Club - very nervous to write in it 😂
Thanks so much! 🫶🏼
I’m sure you’ll be amazing! I think visibility will definitely be key for us, especially at the start ☺️
Yes, definitely nervous! My new school were in for three days after my current school finished for summer, so this was a great chance for me to get to know everyone a bit better! I also have an amazing head who I know I will learn so much from! ☺️
Love this!! We’ll have to keep each other sane with pep talks throughout the year please! 😂 good luck, I’m sure you’ll smash it! 🫶🏼
