Not everyone's going through a crisis of identity when trying to follow trends, but I can tell you: if you're not loving that daily process, your life and art are probably better served in other ways.

After I stopped and focused on some specific self improvement (saying yes more, travel, grooming/clothing upgrade) I had new experiences, made new friends, and met my amazing girlfriend of 8+ years.

My art got better too when I wasn't rushing to pump out "interesting" doodles each day.

This is what absolutely drained me in early 2017 when I was floundering emotionally and decided to tie my identity to posting daily drawings. Had to admit that it was not only just a bandaid but actively hurting me, taking time and energy away from other parts of my life.
