I've been sort of up & down this past year, having periods of a lot of stress followed by times that aren't so bad. My new stargazing hobby has been helping me a lot too! 💜

No, I quit using it about a year & a half ago just because it was getting to be so bad with the ads & everything. And then a few months back my account got hacked and Twitter wouldn't give it back so I couldn't go back even if I wanted to ☹️ I really miss everyone though. I hope you're doing well!! 💜

Anyway I could go on but it was so worth it to take the drive up here. The weather didn't cooperate today but at least I had last night. The only thing I didn't get to see was the Milky Way but only bc this time of year it's very low on the horizon. But I will see it one day!! 🌌🌌🌌

Also I have a new obsession: the star cluster in Coma Berenices, which is a teeny constellation kinda to the left of Leo. Through binoculars you can see ALLLLL these bright stars clustered together, there's so many they don't all fit in the FOV 🌟🌟🌟🌟

But I finally found it and it's beautiful and I can't explain why but it's important to me. Idk man just....12 billion year old light, and I get to see it. Globular clusters just make me feel a type of way. And there's so many more that come out in the summer. I'm gonna find them too!

I've been obsessed with this one for like a year. I found it once last March but only for like a second, and then I lost it again. So I got weirdly emotional trying to locate it last night. I'm still not great with the finderscope 🥲

I saw Jupiter through my scope again, all its cute little moons lined up 💜💜💜 AND I found some galaxies hanging out in Leo, I never knew they were there!! Saw 3 shooting stars over the course of the night. But the best part was finding the Hercules globular cluster M13

After the presentation was done he let me stay longer and set up my scope. So for maybe an hour I was out there all by myself. The quietest, darkest spot in the world you could imagine. The number of stars was insane. I never see the sky like that at home

Last night stargazing was so amazing. I signed up for this tour so I was in a huge field with like 20 other people and this very passionate older gentleman who showed us around the sky. He pointed out constellations & open star clusters & had this cool projector setup to show us DSOs in COLOR 😭😭💜
