I’ve been developing my craft to focus on communicating character’s emotions, from tension and conflict to intimacy and heartfelt joy. My main interests in books are fantasy (my most beloved!) and queer themes.
From the artist:
Hi there! I’m Quel, an ace illustrator from Brazil with a long-lasting love for fandoms’ creative spaces and communities. Art has always been a major part of my life as I grew, to finally become my full-time job.

My path towards being a book artist started out by making fanart for my friends' fanfics, and that love of the author community and illustration has only grown. I am also a teacher and "budding" gardening enthusiast!
