1.) it's difficult to grasp just how vast and the inequality is and just how different our system treats the top 0.01%
2.) lack of critical thinking
3.) inability to think of things as a whole system and not just isolated parts.
4.) complete lack of empathy

I think about this often. Once you've seen the ridiculousness of the situation you cannot unsee just how fucking insane it is. And it makes it hard to understand anyone could possibly be ok with this.
