A team ships a "small" cache header tweak on a Tuesday. All good, right? Oh my sweet summer child.

A week later, the UX Rating chart tells a different story 🫠

The worst perf regressions quietly lose you users.

Thanks for the shout @tunetheweb.com ✨

I am *SO* enjoying the technology information from HTTPArchive, really enjoying it in the leaderboards.

TIL:

Australian government websites LOVE Drupal, and… they're super fast overall.

Huge congratulations to Hungary and all of the EU that were destabilised by Orbán and fascists of his ilk.

It’s a new day.

You are *not* imagining it — Airline websites really are the slowest and most frustrating to use.

Only 3.7% pass Google's Core Web Vitals. For comparison, 56.5% of news sites clear the same bar.

See how your favourite airline ranks:

It’s quite frustrating when competitors fire up the Xerox machine and duplicate projects I spent a long time on. One in particular has done it time and time again, absolutely zero class.

This is absolutely beautiful and very well done.

yeah I'm not gonna let a dipshit ruin my vibe ever. it's a cool demo, great. happy for em'. Doesn't do anything for me personally.

Not specifically the "are you human checks" (geez, I hate these, and hate that I have to use one), but definitely the "sign up to newsletter" or other prompts that distract users and ruin conversions.

Pretty negative! and worst: most companies forget about them, because they dismissed em'!
