Elbaf is really proving Sanji is the one pulling in Zoro and Luffy a bunch LOL never have I seen him so tired of their shenanigans

The LA does so many things well and I enjoy it so much... but so many of the nuances of his character just aren't present in the LA. So I'm genuinely curious to see what their experience is like because even though I think there is some of that with some of the other Straw Hats, it's not as drastic.

Not to keep harping on this, but I am very curious to see what the people who like/love OPLA Sanji who get into the anime and/or manga think of those versions of him (outside of the perv gag, which we should all be glad isn't in the LA and I'm so so tired of seeing those versions of him reduced to).

I should add that I don't think it's the acting, Taz is great, I just think some of the writing choices are a little too ooc at times or negate a lot of special moments for the character. I also think the costuming is great.

Even the anime doesn't quite get him right at times, though I still enjoy the anime just like I enjoy OPLA still. It's just disappointing because I just want to see him portrayed and celebrated as more than what he is often reduced to. 😔

A lot of people who hate manga Sanji love OPLA Sanji...

Meanwhile manga Sanji is my favorite, and while I don't necessarily dislike OPLA Sanji, he's just missing a lot of the layers and characteristics that I like about him (and I'm not talking about his "gag")

Last season I could kind of look past some of the minor differences as part of the jump in medium, but this season some of the changes and choices were a bit beyond the mark for me

I enjoyed S2 of OPLA, it's fun and so much love is put into it, but the characterization for some was just a little too off for me this season
