Do you know anyone in north suburban Chicagoland who is looking to make a lasting difference for nature? A new stewardship community is launching to protect and restore remnant gravel hill prairies in Cary. No experience necessary! People persons, nature nerds, social media gurus & more all needed 🌱

Been enjoying taking top-down photos of remnant prairie turf. Don’t worry, I’m working in these spots, not just trampling around.

It’s true. I used to work for one of these companies - they genuinely tried because losing journalist trust was bad for business, but it’s hard to police how clients use the tools. They occasionally “fired” clients for being spammers.

You’re probably on Cision’s media database, Meltwater’s, MuckRack’s. You can contact these media databases to be removed, and they will do it.

A little erigenia bulbosa was all the Saturday excitement I needed. At a preserve in far west suburban Chicago.

It’s a threatened plant in Illinois, where I live. I’ve always been told it’s a very conservative species that dislikes disturbance, so I assume that private woods between a creek and a farm near my MIL’s probably has other nice surprises too!

National dems fundraised big time on Amy McGrath and funneled millions into her campaign even though both major KY newspapers endorsed her primary opponent, who was far more experienced but more progressive.
