These days, a High school class that teach how algorithms, conspiracy theory, AI and news reporting work and how they can all be inherently manipulative (or biased in the case of news) is kind of needed. I guess that good teachers already discuss that but it should not be an extra responsibility.

People are right to be incensed, but there are more names to uplift. ICE killed an immigrant man named Silverio Villegas González in Chicagoland. He had children. Victor Manuel Diaz was kidnapped in Minneapolis and died in ICE custody on January 14. Their names deserve to be repeated, too.

I hope the Martian Microbes are doing ok, just vibing deep below Mars’ frozen surface, knowing nothing about the shit that is going on the thin surface of Earth.
