I like Nuremberg Jury, but this is good, too.
There were some fun Easter eggs in the film for those who read or listened to the novel. But I think it's good either way
I read the print book and really enjoyed it. I saw the film this weekend, and was overall very pleased with it. My sweetie did not read the book, and also enjoyed the film
Je suis à Cape Cod maintenant, ou j’ai assisté la manifestation locale de «No Kings» hier. Marchons !
It's a real one of a kind
And if you can make it "hithertofore unbeknownst," all the better!
Adorable!
Yes!
You've just changed my understanding of that song. Zep has always been some of my background music for LotR for obvious reasons, and this expands that.
Because March

You woke with the light? With DST, it was dark this morning at my house. [grumble]
My mother would never have allowed me or any of my siblings to wear a baseball cap to a funeral. Just as well bring a skunk into an Ulta store.
One more hour of morning darkness in the winter. No thank you.

Polypastry?
Department of War Crimes, more accurately
Why must this be the most stupid of possible timelines?
No, I will not be wasting my time watching the State of the Onion. I don't need to fill my ears with the hate, narcissism, and other garbage I know it will be.

Safety in fascism is a false hope, in any case. Better to fight the long defeat, as Tolkien put it.
Right on. I have never wanted one of those insidious things, as I'm not interested in letting #Amazon and anyone they contract with see and hear everything going on at my house. Don't sell your privacy out of fear!

Yes, this. She strikes me as having been particularly brilliant, and is pretty high on my personal list of heroes; at least in the top five. Of the guys, John is the one I'd most trust.
Back from a 5 km recovery run in the rain to catch up on #BM100. My little jog seems like not much more than a trip to the kitchen
My non-runner partner: "I'm sorry, why would they do this? It just seems stupid."
Me: "Yep", as I continue refreshing

Aside from a collection of football and basketball players, mine might be Ronnie Hawkins, a rock singer in his own right, leader of The Hawks, who was also a mentor to several members of The Band in Toronto. Their song "The Weight" includes several references to my hometown.
Not unlike my own school experience, interestingly.
I've had dinner with Verlyn Flieger*, and she is amazing. But she didn't leave me imagining the Dunlendings writing curse tablets and tossing them into the Isen River, so well done!
* Yes, with about twenty other people, but I was sitting right next to her, trying not to be too fan-girly.
As a software developer, I can certainly sympathize. "No, that's not how computers work!"
In fact, as I think about it, Unix (and Linux) computers even have daemons.
I have the same calendar. Imagine how J.R.R.T. would react to that slop!
